Today I’ll be talking mainly about Les Mills Body Combat.

In this episode of Group Fitness Over Coffee I’ll look at mixing up tracks for special occasions like Halloween.

And I’ve got a great story about motivating a new participant. Then I take a close look at Les Mills Body Combat release 61.

Enjoy listening.

  1. I have been a Body Combat participant since release 48. The gym I belong to – GHS YMCA in Simpsonville, SC USA – launched BC61 3 and a half weeks ago. It is another great Body Combat release – though I am ready for some mixing out (which my instructors start after 4 weeks). The music is great and seems to fit each track’s choreography like a glove! Like you, track 9 will be the first to be mixed out (I hope!). I really liked BC60’s track 9! Also, tracks 3 and 5 are so similar I can’t see them both staying for long. The problem is that there are so many great tracks from previous Body Combat releases to choose from (my instructors go back as far as release 43). Personally, I am loving tracks 4, 5, 7, and 8. Track 5 is dangerous on the knees if you don’t turn and lift that back foot on the cross! I’ve got bad knees and I certainly feel it – especially after track 6! I am glad the Superman is back. And I like track 8 _because_ it is relentless! That’s when change happens – right!! Thank’s for the great podcast – I enjoy it! Cheers from the USA (though I was born in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire)! ~Darren

    1. Hey Darren – thanks for taking the time to comment. Glad to hear things are rocking over there in the States. Perhaps I could interview you on a future episode?
